John “Joe” Terril founded Terril & Co. in 1979. The independent wealth management firm currently oversees more than $725 million in trust, retirement plan, IRA and individual assets for clients in 30+ states. It also serves as an investment sub-advisor to the trust departments of banks, where it manages the portfolios of their high net worth clients.

Terril’s ability to clearly communicate investment themes and penetrating analysis of national and international business trends makes him a frequent contributor to local and national financial media. Credits include the St. Louis Business Journal, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, USA Today, the Wall Street Transcript, Fox Business News, Reuters and the Associated Press.

Terril began his career in 1976 as an institutional account executive with a well-known Wall Street firm.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in finance from the University of Illinois in Springfield.
